Hit & run cases aren't uncommon anymore nowadays and car camera is part of essential accessories for car owner in a small city like Hong Kong. I eventually have a set of 4 car cams + 1 rear parking cam installed on my M3S.
I picked Witness, Taiwan patented car camera, same as the one I found in the States "
Hermes MVR 102".
Price depends on one's setup and my full setup includes the following :
- 4 cams + 1 rear parking cam (3 SONY CCD + 2 CMOS)
- TPMS
- Idle parking setup (battery monitoring circuit board)
- Toshiba 16GB SD SDHC Class 10 Memory Card Ultra
- professional installation
Total around HKD$10000 (around USD$ 12xx)
Below are part of my setups & videos for driving & parking :
