Oh yeah sorry more info. It always used to have a quiet knock sound turning either direction, but recently that noise you hear is a loud "crack" and it ONLY occurs turning the steering wheel to the right hand side, and let go. If I go to the left and let go it does not occur.
When I'm driving at speed, and turn just slightly to the left OR right the wheel wobbles like the lug nuts are loose (they are not).
When driving at speed in windy conditions the car seems to veer around on the road, and I have to keep steering back and forth to keep going straight. Much worse than anything I have ever driven.
It only started making this cracking sound within the last month or two as the weather warmed up.
