Advice on window repair

Hey, I've got a 2008 Mazda 3 with a bad driver's side front window. Since I bought the car 4 years ago, I've had an issue with the window moving forward out of its track when moving the window. The issue made it saw I had to apply significant pressure on the window by pushing it towards the rear and down so that it followed the proper when moving it up. I finally had time last week to remove the door panel and diagnose the problem. I learned that one of the window attachment clips that holds the window to the track was missing and the windows was unable to stay secure under the tension of the curve of the door during upward travel. I contacted my local Mazda dealership and got the replacement clip. Last night I installed the new clip. The window now stays in place like it should, but there is heavy pressure being applied about halfway up. The motor struggles to lift the window and at point and completely seized up and i had to pull the window while engaging the switch to get it to move up the rest of the way. I did notice that it appears that track assembly shifts slighty when the window is in motion, despite all of the bolts being tight.

My question: Is the motor just worn out and needs to be replaced from 4 years of overwork? or should I replace the whole motor and track assembly?

motor alone will cost me about $45 shipped.
the whole assembly will be about $75 shipped.

window

I have this same exact issue with my passengers side front window. Could you post pics of the part you fixed or replaced and where is goes? For the motor question, try carefully removing the motor and then put it back on. I had what you are describing with my drivers side rear and the adjuster had popped out of the back of the motor.

This was the part that I was missing. I don't have the part sale sheet that had the part number on it, but it's called a "window attach clip". I think the part number begins with "BJA"
