a few questions for you. the badges that are on the back do any of them have double sided tape or do they all have clips? im most concerned with the mazda logo in the rear lol i thought that one had double sided tape. also how did you prep the badges i saw a post awhile ago about soaking the badges in some kinda chemical to remove all the chrome plating from the badge then scuffing and then painting multiple coats. i just dont want to have to mess with them agian. my old man used to say do it right the first time. btw the color looks great bud! very stealth.

Hey baby-gas-bomb,

There is tape on most of the emblems. The Mazda one didn't but I think it was supposed too. It did however have 3 pitons on it. For the ones with tape I used doubled up floss and I wore a pair of cotton gloves. All I did for prep was wash them really well under hot water with a toothbrush. Then dried them. That was all. The paint took really well. It's made to go right on as is. I'm going to post close ups later. It was relatively easy. Just put on light coats. I put on 3 of them BTW.

Here are my close ups. Sorry for the dust I didn't have time to wash. I also did the front emblem but I didn't take it off. I spent about an hour taping it off!! But it came out perfect!!

Full frontal!!

Front before mods for reference.

Front "M".

Back "M".

Mazda 3.

2.5

Oh and one of my wife's car. Notice the plate.

The paint looks like it's hammered...or maybe it's that way because of the light coats? Either way, looks good. I'm still not sold on that bug deflector though :P

It's not hammered. It has silver flecks in it. It's smooth as silk actually. The close ups really show the flecks, but from normal viewing distances it looks like black chrome. And keep my deflector out of this!! LOL.

Ah. Okay...it's just the light playing tricks, then. Post more pics when you get those fog light bezels done. That's going to look sick.

And you know I have to give you hell about the bug deflector. Haha. It's all good. I wish I had one sometimes when I get a windshield full of guts.

Evil:

Wow! I'm very imressed with the work!

Anyone have suggestions on what to do with with the graphite mica paint. I was thinking black chrome or a flat black.

Thanks. On the graphite mica I think the flat black would look best.
