Default Lock doors and windows with remote

Ok, so I did some search and found nothing really about this, sorry if I didn't find. lol

So, my idea is when you turn off your car, get out of your car and lock doors with the remote, it would also close all windows and sunroof. I read many threads about auto power windows that only work on the driver's side, etc etc. Some people said it's controlled by the computer, it might be hard to make work, etc.

I would love to just click the button and lock doors and windows, all at once. I was thinking to call the dealer, but I hate where I got my 3, I really just got the car because I loved it. lol

What you think of this feature? Anyone think it would be possible on the 3?

God I would love to unlock the car and also roll the windows down via remote on hot days.

I would pay a good bit of money for both of these features. On my friends 2011 Jetta he used a VAG-COM. One push unlocks all doors and the second rolls the windows down.

I was thinking that there may be a way to have the completely useless panic button on the remote control the windows.

I like to use the panic button for when stupid people think your car is a wall to recline or a table to put things on top.

Check this:

Yeah, I'd pay some nice money for this feature also. Hopefully someone will chime in that is good with electronics!

haha if I had some better horns on my car I'd use the panic button. I want people to back away from the car, not laugh.

About 5 years ago, a guy posted up a "solution" to this over on the Legacy GT forum I was on. It was called "Autowindow". It was pretty impressive. I keep saying I will do it to my cars, but I never seem to get around to it. It's fairly extensive and expensive, as you need to add some control boxes to each door (or possibly one for front windows and one for the rear). Can't remember. He said it was possible for ANY car.

If you want to do some reading up on it, Start here. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...6.html?t=62586

Starts at 45 bucks to do what I want it to do or 96 for the complete one.
