I'm guessing vinyl would probably be a lot better than getting the entire care painted in matte black. Not only is it cheaper, but it's also easy to replace. My friend, who happens to run his own auto body shop, told me that if you get a car sprayed in a matte color and you got a scratch, the only way to fix it is to get the entire re-painted, because polishing it out will only make it shiny.

Full body wraps cost about $1500 - $2000. So the best thing about doing the wrap is if you decide to sell it, you have the option of pulling off the vinyl if the potential buyer wants a shiny finish.

I would rather paint the car than to wrap it... mainly because there's like no near me that can wrap. Since you have a dark colour car already. You would only need to paint the body and that would not cost much at all. The money is in the door jams, engine bay...etc

Paint is rather permanent and the flat black look isn't appealing to a lot of people. I would never paint a car flat black unless I planned on keeping it forever.
