Interesting, I have a build date of 10/09 also, and don't have the LED mirrors or footwell lights. The footwell lights don't bother me one bit as I would probably remove them if it had them, but I really want the heated/LED mirrors.

heated mirrors still exist, only on the GT trims though. You can add them to your s Sport if you buy the parts and follow this guide: http://mazda3revolution.com/forums/2...r-install.html

I could live without the heated side mirrors, the LED feature is worth the installation though.

Thanks. Guess I just don't know how to tell the difference in the trim levels (I purchased the car used). I thought I saw a thread here about trim levels, but when I went back to find it, I couldn't. lol.

Since I started this thread, I guess I should add that I had one more accessory installed in my Mazda last week - a 10" Powered Bazooka Tube in the hatch. Wow. It totally gave the Bose sound system a much needed kick. Now I can crank up the system high with most of the bass coming out of the tube. Sounds amazing! The stock Bose system wasn't modified at all - all speakers and sub are still in tact and work. It's just adds that missing punch and low bass power.
QFT...I just installed this kit in my wife's new '12 s GT.

You tap into the 'cigar' lighter. Shouldn't affect the door LEDs.

Job was a PITA though mostly due to the OEM driver's side light bracket being installed for nothing but a vistigial purpose.

You have to remove a screw facing towards the engine bay and having the steering column in the way. Sort of tricky if you are only banking on a standard #2 phillips per the instructions.

My wife is very happy with the lights. It was a dealer breakdown. They assured me the interior lighting kit was in the car we ordered. It wasn't...saved $70 though buying it through proper priced dealers.

Only 3 flesh wounds

Anyone know if the 2012 models come with the wiring for the LED turn signal side mirrors? Thinking about adding this, but wasn't sure if they got rid of the wiring.

It is very possible because some people with 2011's are wired for it. The turn signal mirrors did come back for 2012 GT trim's so the only thing you can do it take the little tweeter off and see what kind of plug you have.

Does anyone know the part number for the 2012 LED turn signal mirrors? I've been searching and can't find anything. I'm guessing there's no part for the 2012 i models.

I found this. Can anyone confirm that 2012 SkyActiv models have the same wirings required for turn signals?
