I was also told by online mazda parts that nothing after 2010.5 would have anything wired and if there are wires they are not connected. I guess mazda is doing stuff their own dealers dont know about?

Really that's weird because some of us directly opened up the mirrors and saw the pre wires for the hook ups. Strange how things go.. Only way to find out is to acuatly buy it?

Onlinemazdaparts.com got back to me regarding adding the turn signal indicators to the iGT w/ tech package. He also said that the wirinng is not in place to support it, but gave me the part numbers anyway. I questioned him about the wiring not being in place and pointed him to Brian085's post, but he said he knows for a fact it wouldn't work because a customer tried to do the same thing. It looks like I would need:

BHB2-69-12ZD - Right side mirror housing (w/ heated, w/ turn signals, w/ BSM) - $322.52
BHB2-69-18ZD - Left side mirror housing (w/ heated, w/ turn signals, w/ BSM) - $322.52
G33D-69-1N1-40 - Sky Blue painted cap - Right side mirror cap - $26.07
G33D-69-1N7-40 - Sky Blue painted cap - Left side mirror cap - $26.07

Ultimately, it doesn't seem worth it for me to spend $700 for turn signal indicators...

Well since my car has it I want to keep it. It's a nice feature. I still check my blindspots, but I like the BSM system. I'm not quite sure why I can't just buy the non BSM housing and put my mirror in it. The mirrors come out, right? I haven't cracked mine open yet, so I don't know what it looks like.

I just bought the ambient lighting interior kit and plan on installing it myself. This should be a walk in the park compared to my normal LED projects. The one mistake I won't be making is that I won't be installing this so they light up whenever the car is on. I plan on finding an output that provides voltage to the circuit only when the headlights (or running lights) are on. I've never seen a car from the factory that works any other way.

EDIT: Looks like you'd want these: SUB MIRROR(R),DOOR (BBM6-69-12ZN) - $118.28 - BBM66912ZN and SUB MIRROR(L),DOOR (BBM6-69-18ZJ) - $118.28 - BBM66918ZJ

So just want to confirm. If I do NOT have BSM and have an 2012 iTouring Skyblue Mica, I would get the following parts?

BBM6-69-12ZN - Right side mirror housing (w/ heated, w/ turn signals, wo/ BSM) - $118.28
BBM6-69-18ZJ - Left side mirror housing (w/ heated, w/ turn signals, wo/ BSM) - $118.28
G33D-69-1N1-40 - Sky Blue painted cap - Right side mirror cap - $26.07
G33D-69-1N7-40 - Sky Blue painted cap - Left side mirror cap - $26.07

I just might try it out!

Found this on eBay... not sure if I am going to buy from them but they said this is after market OEM replacement for (BBM46918ZG - passenger side) and (BBM46912ZG - Driver side) with turn signal, power and heated.

New Set of 2 Mirror Power Heated Primered In-housing Turn Signal Light Pair | eBay

Most importantly, they have a picture of the harness plug, which looks like the pictures Brian085 posted earlier. I might just pickup a pair of these or the TYC ones and try them out. As for the cover, I don't think they made the covers that fits LED mirrors in 2010 since there was not Sky Blue Mica back then. I will just go onto Amazon and get some paint using the paint code and spray paint it myself.... will update you guys later.
