Default Anyone painted their rear bumper guards?

Hey all. I just picked a white 2010 GT hatch, and want the bumper guards because I'm constantly putting gear in and out of the car. But they're gray, and that's lame. Has anyone had success painting these (I'm thinking Krylon fusion)? Any kind of extra prep in mind? I figure since they're not too expensive it's not a big deal if I screw it up, so I might just do it and then share the results with all of you lovely people...

I've seen the bumper guards really cheap on Ebay.

If you paint you may then be afraid of scratching the paint off and not want to use for what they are made for

Man, gray or not, I wish they fit for the sedan, I play inline hockey 2-3 times a week and it would be nice to have on my bumper!

I agree, once you paint them, I would be worried about screwing up the paint! LOL

But hey, I'd rather screw those up than the actual bumper...

Sorry for the double post, but hold up a second. Hopefully someone who has bought these can help me out? Do they come as a set or do you have to buy each one individually? I called my dealership to see if they had it in stock (since after shipping, the prices are about the same as on other sites, according to the mazda website), and he said something about it being near 100 dollars. This would only make sense if they were sold individually (and even then it'd be a ripoff). Did the parts guy just not understand what I was asking for?

They come in pairs. I got them on mine. Personally I wouldn't paint mine, they look good as is IMHO...but if you paint yours, I'd like to see um.

Pay the dealer $20 to have them install for you w/ 3 years warranty. If the bumper guards come off or slightly lifted, bring your car back to the dealer.
