I went ahead and bought a H11: Morimoto Elite HID System. With these 35w HID's, is the heavy-duty relay necessary to install, or can you get by without it?

It's not "needed" for a 35w HID system but it's never ever a bad idea. With the 55w systems, it's more of a necessity because of the added power draw. A good wiring kit/relay though will ensure your ballasts get a steady current flow without interruption or flickering of your lights. I'd say get it for peace of mind and if you ever go up to 55w ballasts/bulbs in the future.

i would just install the harness to make sure the ballasts get the power needed when they fire up as well as just a peace of mind. It's all upto you though.

Someone should've bought 3 kits and shipped it out via usps to 2 other people, that way the kits would've only been $90+shipping per kit haha oh well!

there is no code. you can't use the other coupon codes on the hid kit. it is already discounted at $120.00/kit.

HID Component Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc

scroll down to h11 kit and buy it. It is on backorder now but i think they'll still take orders.

so my kit just got here yay!

I contacted TRS regarding the use of the harness and this is what they said -
Quote:
It is recommended that you run the relay harness as it ensures that sufficient power is going to your ballasts.
