Thats what mine started saying with the new GOOGle play music, it would say paused, but its played, and if I hit pause, it would say "BT" thats it.

Yeah it should just show up if your device supports it. Try cycling through the info button.

Most androids are running Gingerbread, the custom rom I am running is based of GB, but my stock system is 2.3.4 gingerbread, and I had data. So it could be type of phone, the company not implementing proper profiles?

And you know, data or not, at least it streams properly! As far as mine goes at least. I only get a pause if I get a text or alert while streaming BT.
