I had a bit of trouble deciding between sedan and hatchback..
Went to HB because of having already another sedan (2008 Jetta) and because I could get the 2.5 L engine in the middle trim level (in Canada, GS).
I had fallen in love with the Celestial Blue the moment I stepped in the dealership, so that was what I wanted.
No car in Canada like that, believe it or not. Wait time? Months, I was told. There should be some on the boat (that's what I heard at the dealership).
They however told me they had one like that but with the "comfort package" sunroof, stability and traction control, at the other dealership in town.
Got that one.
Total, about 10 days.

It took a couple of days to find mine.

There were only 4 hatchbacks with the manual in my local area that includes 5 dealerships! My dealer had to hunt one down, which was the easy part. He found one within minutes. The hard part was getting the other dealer to give up the car. After getting yanked around and talking to dealerships across three other states, he was able to find one willing to trade. Several backed out of the deal after agreeing to trade. No one wanted to give up any inventory due to sales picking up from Cash for Clunkers.
