So I set about to remove that metal anti-scatter ring, which you can't do as the glass lens is sealed to the housing and thats when I found the adjusting screws to aim the fogs higher.
how's the fogs now with the adjustment? How high did you adjusted?
I was thinking about taking those rings out too.

I have them all the way up....still not what I expected but it is better.
Some of the guys have opened the headlight housings to paint the inside by heating them in the oven, so that could work here to get at that ring but I'll draw the line there and live with what I have.

i think the best is to swap the lens to clear one and adjust the cut off inside the projector base. i think the adjustment work mostly for reflector based headlight.

sorry guys, im a noob. Is there any way to adjust the left/right of the headlights? I just replaced the factory lights on my 2011 with hids and have a solid black hole in front of me while driving. The sides of the road are lit up well, just not right in front. any help would be much appreciated.

take out the plug and play kit and put in the halogen bulbs...
No there is no left or right adjustment on the headlights. Have you tried twisting the bulbs ever so slightly to see if you can refocus the light?

thanks, i think. how would you recommend upgrading the headlights then? there isn't much play in terms of twisting the headlights.

re read my post. I said twist the bulb...
By twisting the bulb it rotates the ignition portion of the hid bulb and can some times help with what you are running in to.

so you're saying to twist the actual glass bulp within its plastic "foundation"?
