Great write up! MPGs are a little low compared with other cars in the same class, but as for the Mazda6 2.5, its a little less than the 3. I have a 2010 6 too and it gets about 26 on the highway while my '11 mz3 gets 28.

I just hit my 3 months of ownership which for me equals 6,500 miles and I have been very impressed and happy so far.

I was looking for a new car right around the time of the auto show, so my wife and I were able to goto that and sit in every car we were considering and that really helped us (Wife said she wont ever buy another car without going to auto show first, you dont have pushy sales people and can just take your time and feel the car out, except for driving it).

I was considering a used Mazda 3 at the time, wasnt so keen on the new styling, but once I sat in it, I knew it was my next car. Awesome interior, tons of storage space, a blast to drive (i opted for the 6spd manual). Add all that to 0% financing and I couldnt refuse buying a new one, and the looks have really grown on me!

I average 27-28 mpg (even got 33 on a road trip last week). Im happy as the other cars in this class that get better gas mileage are not near as fun to drive.
