This could be good news for us, from Spec Clutch:

I know for a fact I could find you a test vehicle if needed.

FROM THEM TO ME:

Matthew,

We actually already make those units in all seven stages. I can make a stage recommendation if you let me know what mods you have made or plan to make. Do you have the 2.0 or 2.5 ?

So I emailed back asking about parts numbers, as they don't seem to list it on their site.

I started a new thread, so anyone that wants a strong clutch SPEC produces multiple stages for the 2.3t, 2.0, and 2.5. And Fidanza already makes a flywheel so I didn't ask about those.

As far as I can tell it is mainly the 2.5s that are having the problems. Seem to be much more of those reporting issues. Sorta makes sense, bigger engine and all.

Ordered the SPEC Stage 2 clutch kit today. I hope to have it in the car early next week. I'll report back with a review.

so when usually does this clutch issue start to happen? i've got 16k on the clock and my clutch feels like the day I bought it.. but I want to be prepared for the worst when I hit that milestone..

probably gonna pull the engine, clean up the engine bay, wire tuck etc when my clutch goes out. this engine bay has the most spider web looking hoses and wires ever..it's so ugly.

Definitely feel free to throw up some pics and what now. I am definitely interested in hearing about this. Any reason you didn't opt for the light flywheel?

Its a stock 2.5 that I don't expect to be adding an extra power too. Its my 16 year old daughters car. I was basically looking for a stock clutch feel with a clutch that won't explode.
