Default K&N 33-2293 air filter will not fit on 2012 Mazda3 iTouring with Skyativ

Bought a K&N filter to replacement the stock one out of pure impulse from amazon and found out that it doesn't fit my 2012 Mazda3 iTouring with Skyactiv. Just want to give everyone a heads up. Here is the filter as listed on amazon.

Amazon.com: K&N 33-2293 High Performance Replacement Air Filter: Automotive Amazon.com: K&N 33-2293 High Performance Replacement Air Filter: Automotive

You know there is a bar on top of the page (before menus) where you can select your car and it will tell if it fits or not.
I did on mine:

Why do you need to replace your air filter so soon?

i actually would not mind replacing my factory air filter with K&N filter if I could find one that would fit in the stock air box. I did it on my old 2002 civic and the MPGs increased by 2-3.

I think Autoexe sells one for Skyactiv. It might be expensive because it's going to get shipped from Japan. Next time I go back to Japan, I'm going to check it out.
