 Product Release: 2010 CorkSport Mazda 3 Short Ram Intake $179
Wanted to have y'all be the first to know - I really appreciate the support and enthusiasm about our products that I've seen since I've been here. Intakes are available, first orders will ship Monday. The link to order is here. A few people had asked what kind of power numbers the intake makes vs. the intake + exhaust that was detailed on the blog post (linked below). If you compare peak to peak (which is at the top of the powerband), it's 7-8hp for the 2.5 and 4hp for the 2.0 with standard correction. Comparing midrange power though, it's more like 11-12hp for the 2.5 and 7-8hp for the 2.0. In addition to specific power gains detailed in our blog here, we have generously improved vehicle throttle response as well as induction sound with the addition of the short ram intake. Features: To start with, we redesigned our Billet Aluminum MAF Housing, featuring T304 Stainless Steel Sensor Bosses and a black anodized and second-op milled finish. Our custom molded silicone coupler features a highly rigid 5-layer design featuring 6mm thick silicone layup and 4 layers of nylon braided reinforcement, featuring factory valvecover breather connection. We top the system off with a CorkSport Dry Flow conical air filter. Connecting all of the pieces together are Stainless Steel T-Bolt Clamps with nylon locking nuts for retaining a leak-proof seal. Testing: As with all of our products at CorkSport, we'd prefer to invest our time into testing and validation of design rather than requiring our customers to do so. Our 2010 Intake systems were run comprehensively on test cars in a number of different situations including repeated dyno pulls and day to day driving tests without any check engine lights. The 2.0 and 2.5 liter designs are different in the geometry of the MAF housing which mimics the solutions found in the factory vehicles, while continually pushing the envelope for power gains. Designing an intake that avoids check engine lights is not difficult, but designing one that makes good power and avoids check engine lights is far more of a challenge. Really jealous of the 2.0 and 2.5 owners...but I souppose I will just have to wait patiently for the Speed3 SRI. Hopefully it won't be too long now...  | ||||||||||||||||||

Great work! This is sure to be a solid product and the price is definately right. I'm excited that CS is first to market. You're sure to get a lot of sales and new customers from this. You deserve it! Ordered mine earlier today and tried to get Jason to autograph it for me but, being the humble guy he is, he declined. Lol.
