Default Has anyone done a muffler delete yet?

I am trying to find out if anyone has done a muffler delete on their new 2010 Mazda 3 2.0. I am looking for something that won't be too loud and will have a deep tone. Any videos would help.

It would be LOUD, our cars are NA and im sure the resonator would help a little, but without a turbo to kick out some of that sound it would prolly be way louder than it needs to be, at least for me.

I assume he will be putting a straight pipe in place!

I would definitely be putting a straight pipe in place of the muffler if I did go that route. I was also thinking of putting something on like they had on the old stock MS3's, but I can't decipher from the youtube videos if it will be too high pitch or not. Some sound deep, some sound high pitch and raspy. I know I can't put that exhaust in place, just giving it as an example.

Best way to tell would be to see a similar install in person. Videos vary because of the quality of the microphone, so some of the raspyness you hear in some vids are because the microphone is not well placed and/or shielded

If you are looking for something that wont be too loud and have a nice deep tone, I dont think removing the muffler and putting a straight pipe in is your best bet.

It'll definitely be a lot louder. And don't do a resonator delete, or you'll get this sound (unless you actually like this sound):

I'm putting a Vibrant resonator back in place, hopefully it'll sound deeper (but obviously not as loud)
