Unfortunately it is so! I have already gone through 2 clutches in my piece of crap! Its gonna cost you a nice $1586.xx for it to be replaced ! And no, the MS3 clutch and flywheel does not fit our cars... I have already asked!

I've talked to ACT,Clutch Masters, Exedy...ect. Not one of them had any info on whether they will ever make one for the 2010+. That was over a year ago so you may want to check with them directly.

I plan on replacing my clutch and flywheel with a 04-09.... It's not 100% confirmed that it will work but its off to a good start... and should work in the reverse situation. Here is is what I have found out from a guy swaping the 2.5L engine into his 04' MZ3.

Great Info!!! If you could... would you verify that the clutch cover for the 04+ will bolt up to the 2010+ flywheel....

Ok here goes: Since the engine is already in the car and I drove it around my block, I can verify that my '04 clutch stuff works without any adjustment. I used the '10 flywheel (same diameter as mine) and bolted my exedy clutch (OEM style replacement) to it. The dowels on the flywheel matched the cover just fine and I used all of my bolts. The transmission was left in the car for the swap (PITA) and bolted up to the 2.5L engine perfectly. All the engine to transmission bolts and bolt holes were utilized, and none of the motor/transmission mounts had to be moved..........

I have been bugging these clutch manufactures as well but no dice. There is A flywheel available but it has yet to see it first production run because nobody wants to buy a flywheel without doing the clutch at the same time.

I read that thread a while ago and was going to reference it as well. Good info. Did you find out what parts were forged?

Makes sense the 2.3 clutch would bolt up to the 2.5...the 2.5 is just a bored/stroked 2.3

The 2.0 has been around since the Protege days (its been updated internally, but externally its similar) so you figure they had to get around to it eventually

And we all know why there are aftermarket clutches for MS3s...

We just need to get some people with the 2.5 to get the power up there enough to warrant an upgraded clutch.

This I what I'm waiting on for a lot of performance parts. I'm rather disappointed that just because I couldn't afford the speed model I can't do much as far as mods go. I guess I'll just have to wait and see

I asked to see if the MS3 clutch and flywheel would fit our cars when mine was in the shop last week, and it does not
