The first year I had the car I tried the Simota and a Rezton. The Rezton is identical to a K&N down to the model number stamped on it. The Simota is thinner than the Rezton, but both are thinner than the OEM. So less restriction, how much less, well you would have to ask the R&D guy about that.

But either way don't expect any type of gain from them. Just buy a cheap intake or save up for a better than cheap intake.

You really won't see barely any power increase to notice that much. But, you will notice better throttle response, nicer sound, and better gas mileage if you are easy on it.

I got the K&N drop in and I gained about 1.5 MPG... But since I installed a MZ3 ABE, I have lost it... HaHa! Zoom Zoom!

I have the HKS drop in filter and I like it. Not sure about any gains, still averaging over 33 mpg.

Not as much gains from a simple drop in filter as you're still using the factory air box. Short ram intake would probably be your best bet (and best sound)

I dropped in a K&N. 1 MPG gain. No noticeable change in launch.
