Trim around automatic transmission shift knob.

Hey guys need some help, does anyone know how to take the trim off around the automatic shift knob? Wanna do a shift boot and don't wanna break anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start by the armrest. Open up the cupholder and pull it upwards and out gently but with direct force. (shift into neutral) Pull the shift trim up and towards the armrest.

That's it. I did the boot, too. There is a wire going into the shift trim to give light to the letters. Twist and pull it out. It not lights up my cupholder at night in my car.

Pretty easy stuff; have fun.

Edit: Here's mine before I adjusted it and made it look pretty(er).
