Hello my fellow members here are some steps of how to modify your lights I am not completely finished just yet i had just enough time to do the passenger side. Fortunatly I have a spare set of headlights haha. As yuou all know the headlights have to be opened to be able to play around. Unfortunatly these headlights did NOT fit in my oven so i had to do the tedious job with a heat gun. Seing how the cutoff on the preojectors are so poorly focused i decided to revert my attention to this first. after dissasembly of the headlamp i rigged up my own little test stand The cutoff before any modifications ![]() I removed the 2 screws that hold down the projector and compared them to the previous generation projectors unfortunatly there was no easy swap in swap out option as the previous generation had a larger projector. So i started adjusting how far the projector sits away from the housing and with a few adjustments i came up with the perfect distance ![]() With that distance I saw what i wanted a sharp cutoff ![]() Now i had to find something to make a spacer out of. Points to remember Must withstand high heat Must have similar round shape I came up with aftermarket HID bulb holder ![]() Cut the ring in half ![]() Use heat source and bend plastic in to shape you need ![]() I used just one peice and ran a test fire and didnt like what i saw as it was still to blurry so I added on the second peice that i had originally cut off ![]() Once test fired again i saw whati liked ![]() Next i moved on to painting the insides of the headlamps complete dissasembly and taped off the parts i wantred to stay original colour and installed the angey eye ring ![]() ![]() I appologize for the vagueness of my instructions and details but please feel free to ask questions. When i do the drivers headlamp I will be more descriptive and take more pictures Fortunatly I have a spare set of headlights i am tampering with

Hey guys i appologize i have been so busy with school i have had no time for the boards. The headlamps are indeed oem xenon self levelling lights. The angel eye does not get intruded by the swivel as the housing is a fixed peic e and the projector moves on a seperate slider pin inside the headlamp housing. Unfortunatly 1 of my angel eye rings burnt out or died or whatever happened to it so i am awaiting its replacement and when that happens i will get more instructions up and possibly even change some more things around.

What is the benefit of modifying the cutoff? Does it help you see better?

i have put in HID lights and i notice tha tthe focus of the projector on the driver side is completely off, comparing to the passenger side. is there a way to fix the focus myself or I would have to go to the delasrship?

Where did you get the angel eye rings from? I've been searching... EDIT: excited to see more pics of how to completely dismantle the inside parts of the light... I'm thinking of making custom eye brows and angel eye rings using the mini-blind rod and LED method. think you could provide a diameter / radius / circumference measurement to use for making the angel eye rings? Awesome job! I cannot wait to do mine!!! EDIT: did you use any kind of special high-temp paint for painting insides of the headlights? think that's necessary? I want to use the same Metallic Black Night paint that I've used on the badges, but I may also consider using the same Graphite Mica body paint, neither of which are high-temp

anyone know if the adaptive headlights move (when turning) even when they're not on...? that'll be a sweet effect... like eyes looking where they're going...
