Default Will 215/60/17 fit on 2011 GT sadan

Im at 22,000 miles on stock yokahoma s34s, and ready to find some relieve from the noise and roughness. Has anyone put 215/60/17 on stock 2011 sadan wheels. I've been looking at the continental threads as an aption as well, but I would be willing to sacrifice handling and looks, for smoother and quieter. I do 70 miles of highway commuting daily.

Here is a link to the tire I'm looking at.

You can get what you want in stock size. That size will greatly affect you odometer accuracy as well.

I should have added in my post that I'm not concerned with speedo accuracy, that's a simple fix with a programmer, and/or there are many shops that can calibrate the ecu for about $50 bux, or at least that's what I did to my 2009 hemi when I put on the 22's.

As for getting what I want in the stock size, mmm, I really would be surprised if the sidewall in a 50 series tire is as flexible, or would take pothole abuse like 60 series tire, but I'm all ears. Then again I've had 40 series on a civic that we're not nearly as loud or rough, but I did have 2 blow outs from potholes at realitivly low speed (30mph).

I've read the replies of many people here on the forum going with cont. DWS 215/45/17, but I rather go with the 60series for the most noticable differance, pothole protection, smoother ride, and with possible less cabin noise.

I appreciate your advice.

205/50-17 is stock size. 215/50 is a little wider and taller. 215/55 would be even taller yet. 215/60 will just look like monster truck tires on that vehicle. Not to mention you'll be overworking your engine and brakes around town in stop and go traffic due to the added circumference as well as weight. I'd highly advise you go for something else closer to stock.

The tires that the dealer threw on there suck anyways. Just get a quality tire in somewhat close to stock diameter and I bet you'd be happy with the ride. Continentals ride nice as they have soft sidewalls but seem to wear oddly in some cases. Traded out my dad's Conti Extreme DWS (which everyone raves about) for Goodyear Eagle GT's and the ride has become softer and quieter. The GT's also bulge past the rim a little further (they run wider in general) with their rim protector which is a plus as well. A really aggressive looking sidewall and pattern overall.

215/60R17 WILL NOT FIT a Mazda3. That tire size has an overall diameter OVER 2" larger than stock tire sizes.
