Default Caliper Paint

Hey everyone, I'm lookin' to paint my calipers, because of the research I've done, the majority of the feedback says to go with paint and not caliper covers. Just wondering if anyone has any input on best brands of paint or best cleaning/paint kit. Also, I might put mazda caliper decals, is it possible to somehow apply a sealant to the decal so it doesn't peel off or get damaged easily? Thanks

It's been a while since I painted the calipers on a previous car, but I used grill paint. I just went with silver to freshen up the aged calipers. There are caliper paint kits, like G2, but really, any hi-temp paint like grill or engine block paint will work. I didn't even bother cleaning the calipers like I should have. I just masked off the areas I didn't want to get paint on, and sprayed the calipers and was done with it. The grill paint I used still looked perfect when I sold the car 4 years later.

Of course, I wouldn't recommend you go that route and not clean them, but it worked out well for me.

I used dupli-color and it was awful. Began chipping within just a few months. Everyone says go with G2 and i found that out after i had already used the dupli-color.

Get hi temp spray paint. Spray into little ketchup cup. Dip paint brush in cup. Brush on. It's the easiest way. No masking. Just put a board under the little cup because the paint will eat through eventually.

Paper ones would probably work. I found these little plastic ketchup cups that you kinda see. I think I got them at 5 guys. The other thing I did when I did a 2nd coat after 6 months, I just cut a bunch off of a blue plastic solo cup so I got the same effect haha.
