Painted old protege rims, but ended up with a grainy texture
I picked up an old scratched up set of 2002 protege rims and just finished re-painting them.
I followed all the instructions and ended up with rims that have a sandpaper-like finish, would this cause any problems with the paint rubbing/washing off? My main concern is with car washes, I'm afraid that the high pressure water might blast off the paint.
Other than that concern, I actually like how it turned out. I don't mind the grainy texture at all.
I used a primer (I forget the brand), then duplicolor graphite paint, with dulpicolor clear coat.
