 funny story about tires..
So if this is the wrong spot apologies.. So Saturday I had a service appointment at my dealer. I had a 4in roofing nail enter my side wall of my stock back left wheel about a month ago. I take it in (road hazard covered under warranty) and proceeded to waiting room. After about ten minutes.. they come out.. "Zachary, you may have not been told, but we do not have your tire in stock. We ordered one and will call you on monday." My question is.. why the hell doesn't a Mazda dealer have a stock tire for a Mazda in stock? Lolz..I had a laugh on my way home.

That happened to me too when I had a bubble in the sidewall right after I bought my car. Took a day to get it in.

I would assume that the dealership doesn't have storage for tires or they don't move enough inventory to keep even common sizes in stock. Just a thought. I would bet the majority of people shopping for tires go to a specialty store like TireBarn or TireRack, etc...

If timing and finances work out, I'd use this as an opportunity to get away from the horrible OEM tires and upgrade to some better rubber.

Yeah, ask them how much it'll cost, and see if they can order a whole set of some better tires and put that cost of replacement of the one tire towards the set. If not, you'll be stuck with 3 crappy tires with less tread, and one slightly less crappy tire with more tread  | ||||||||||||||||||
