3" or stock size intake??

Just got my AP in,ordered my auto tech HPFP, and now looking to get an intake and I'm trying to decide between a stock size SRI/tip or a 3" WP. I have heard to just go with the 3" but Will the 3" possibly do more harm to my stock turbo seals or any other harm? I do not plan on upgrading my turbo at all. Also I've tried searching for this but there's not much out there on 3" intakes that aren't strapped to BTs. I also plan on getting a freaktune.

3" will be fine on stock turbo. Always go bigger though. Stock size is way small. You can even use ots tune from the ap depending on what intake you get. I'm running 3.5" intake in my stock turbo. Though I will be installing my bt once I receive it so....lol

Would having the 3" give more or less MPGs over the stock size SRI. Im guessing less since your increasing power and air flow?

It really shouldn't have much effect on you MPG. You likely will see less because racecar and you will drive it like racecar.

Mpg? You didn't buy a speed for its fuel economy. If that's what you're worried about, keep everything 100% stock or get a different car

The intake diameter will not affect MPG. 3" is the way to go, as it opens up the intake side considerably (changes to the pressure differential pre and pst turbo really wakes things up).

One thing to note, you will not be able to run a Cobb OTS map with any 3" intake without doing a MAF calibration. The provided Cobb maps are not very good anyways, so look into a professional tune. I went with Freektune.
