Will a vent type BOV cause any issues with the stock computer? (2011 car)

Will disconnecting the batt and ECU reset any factory items? (Alarm, keyless entry, Nav, XM ...)

Thank you.

Don't have to indicate, because you don't want to run VTA, especially on a stock tune. Just run recirculate. You'll hear the blowoff if that's what you're going for..

Forgive me if this is a beginner questions, but how do SRIs compare with CAI on the MS3? I've read that turbos can reduce or even negate the CAI temperature gain when they compress the air.
If I was going to go with a CAI or SRI, what would people recommend? Keep in mind that I'm a beginner to modifications, so ease of install should be a factor. I've done my share of stereo and speaker replacements, and basic stock work on engines (plugs, alternator, etc), but nothing more than that.
And I don't have a garage, so all the work will either be done in a parking lot, or in my buddy's garage with his 2 young boys running around bugging the crap out of us.
Right now I'm not looking for ultimate performance, but more taking a nice first-step to improving the performance and getting my feet wet.
