Picked up a 2010 base model yesterday in Velocity Red, so it looks just like that one ^.
I traded in a 2001 VW jetta with 170k miles on it (all mine), and I'm loving this car.

Only thing I'm not thrilled with so far is the stock stereo, but I'll either get used to it or use the money I saved getting it w/o tech package to upgrade.

I got a silver one today! I went in to look, and walked out with one haha. No tech package, and it had 400 miles on it so I got it pretty cheap! I am thrilled.

Got my base 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 in silver a month ago from Elk Grove Mazda in California - paid invoice + 500 which I thought was a good deal. Other quotes over the phone and by email from other dealers varied from MSRP down to invoice plus 500. Buying experience at Elk Grove Mazda by the way was excellent and would recommend them to anyone... very low pressure (unlike other dealers I've been to in the past)

I had the Audi A3, VW GTI and MS3 on my shortlist before I bought the MS3 - there really was no comparison between the A3/GTI and the MS3 - the MS3 is way more car and performance for the money and really takes performance to the next level. The VW/Audi dealer wanted me to go back to them after I drove the MS3 so they could make a final offer, but in all honesty there was nothing they could of offered to make me buy the A3 or GTI in comparison to the MS3, unless they were prepared to make an extremely stupidly low offer, which I know they weren't judging by the insultingly low offer they gave for my trade in.

Absolutely loving my MS3. Must remember to breathe when accelerating

I picked mine up from Elk Grove Mazda as well...July 31st of last year...first one off their lot! Decent dealership to deal with, as you said. No pressure and very little haggling involved to get to the price I wanted (we bought my wife's 3 2.5GT from them as well).

One of the better car buying experiences I've had.

Just picked up my '10 Speed3 in Liquid Silver and haven't a single complaint, I love this thing! You can't believe everything the reviews tell you - I immediately headed for the hills and drove on various types of pavement, the road noise isnt bad at all, the suspension gives a firm ride but i find it quite nice-relatively similar to my Mustang. As for how everyone says how temperamental this car is- I dont know how most people drive but I'm pretty easy on my vehicles- knowing that the power is there at around 3000 my normal driving barely comes close to that. Once you actually push for it, THEN you get the whoosh, but other than that- as a daily driver, it's just fine...

Pick up a black mica 2010 speed 3 today!!!! I friggin love this car, drove it off the lot with only 1 mile recorded on the odometer. I skipped on the tech package and got it at invoice price and had the dealer include tint, auto dimming mirror with compass and a cargo tray.

I traded in a 2010 i sport which was purchased about 1 year ago to the day. My only complaint is that I can't take advantage of the additonal "speed" until I break it in. It's so difficult to keep this thing under 3,000 RPMs. Fantastic automobile!!!! I feel a thanks is in orderd to all of the speed 3 owners in this forum, all of your helpful posts assisted tremendously in my purchase. Thanks to all!!!

My first mod will be to have the chicken pox interior replaced with leather.
