I read the entire thread as I had the similar situation on my newly purchased M3 sport here. Issue cannot be replicated unless backing or forwarding my car from an inclined driveway after letting car sit for a while. Depress foot brake with back gear and then slightly release brake very slow, then I can hear rattle noise from front left area. Is this bushings problem too? any idea before I reach out to dealer? I don't want to be fooled by dealer due to the fact that I am a new driver and know fairly little about cars.

I have the same issue some have experienced; however, I have been able to replicate it on an even surface as well. It seems to happen when I depress the brakes extremely slow. For instance, when inching forward I will sometimes hear it. Doesn't always happen. Not overly concerned at this point but will have the dealer check it out during my first oil change.

I am in the same issue right now. I had the transmission mount replaced last week, this solved an annoying creaking noise. However, today a scary noise came from the lower front. What started over the weekend as a barely perceptible noise just got to a scary level so that I decided to drive it directly to dealer. It happens at any speed but mainly under decelaration, little letting the car slow down to a red light. It does toc toc toc toc...like a "revolving" noise. I could easily replicate the noise in the dealer parking lot with a tech inside the car, 1st gear then release gas and then toc..toc toc.. The guy said, "oh that is a violent metal to metal noise", but they are clue less on the source. They checked the TM again but it was 5pm and end of their shift, they will look at it tomorrow. I told them about the subframe bushing, but I could read in their face "what is he talking about ". Anyway, I will see what they have to say tomorrow, but I'm getting really tired of this MZ3 with barely 15k miles on it

Hello all, Wated to give you update at 14K miles: -Car still makes the metal o metal noise, very noticeable, not all the time, yes on similar situation: coming in or backing up a surface on an incline. For certain this is not "normal" -Loud humming when making tight left turns coming from front right wheel (this looks like different issue, may be a bearing gone bad) Not related but would appreciate any feedback: -exterior mirror on driver side vibrates too much, image flickers and cannot see well. The external cup seems fine, looks like the mount of the glass may be loose -Navy sytem makes static /frying noice when voice engages and engine is revving down, also not always voice takes over the stereo and instructions are not hears clearly I have an appointment on Gunther Mazda in Ft Lauderdale this week. Lou Bachrodt in Pompano Beach, FL big disappointment, sales experience was great customer service very poor. Took the car several times with no results (e.g. low preassure light will come on frequently, they checked the valves and despite I requested never checked the tires, took it to tire kingdom and found a screw embeded) Any feeback on all the above will be appreciated

Wife and I both have 2010 Mazda 3 - one Auto and one manual. Both make this noise and have been trying to get it fixed by dealer forever now. We ended up driving out of our warranty and had to call Mazda corporate to complain. Today my wife got her car back after they insisted that: -Mazda 3 do not have sub frame bushings (lol!) -It was the Sway Bar bushings We let them fix the sway bar bushings as that's what they had reported to Mazda Corp as being the problem. Guess what? Still makes the noise. Going back in Friday. Does anyone have a link to the actual TSB, or the TSB# by chance? Last edited by Zlog; 05-02-2012 at 06:14 PM.

I have the screeching noise coming from my front right wheel. Sounds like its the brakes. I drove it for 20 seconds and turned around and parked it in my driveway. Haven't had a look at it yet. Sent from my Autoguide iPhone app
