Default 235/40/18

Can I fit a 235/40/18 on the stock rims and it still be a decent fit. I need new tires and I don't want to get them to be too wide if it is bad.

I was think about buying rims but now I am thinking about just painting my rims the dark grey that is in the front grill on my car.. then doing red calipers...

Also what size spacers should I use if i am using stock rims for a flush fit.

Please tell me your thoughts.

mazda put 225/40 for a reason - the only reason why i used that size is cause im stretched
You basically want to keep the OEM diameter

I'd stick with a 225 on the stock 7.5" wide rim.

As far as flush goes... a 15mm spacer would give you a more flush look with the stock MS3 wheels (18x7.5 +52.5).

What the heck does this mean? Flush means to be even with another surface.

ok so 15mm spacers and stick with 225 width. I really want RX-8 5-spoke rims 18x8 but I don't have the funds.. then I could go 235... anyways thanx for all the help...
