| ^ Yeah, that was just the sales guy's BS. I will definitely have them do the ecu reprogram when I take in for service next week. Hopefully that will quite down the start-up noise. Thanks for the link outtaLuck.

I have a 2011 2.5L HB and have the exact dash rattle mentioned by the OP, started almost the instant I drove it off the lot, but it was too cold out to reproduce for the dealer. Not sure they will fix it at this point but now that it's warmed up it has come back with a vengeance. It is bad around 30mph and 60mph, I'm thinking harmonics of some resonant frequency, seems independent of engine RPM mostly speed dependent. It is also not reproduced by speaker test tones. I had custom speakers installed and the rattle was present before and after the install suggesting it is also not speaker related. My wife says it comes from the left side of the dash near the vent, I have tried pushing on all kinds of panels and nothing seems to top it suggesting it is somewhere within the dash (I've got one working ear so its hard to locate rattles).

I think I have isolated the location of my dash rattle. It's coming from the area above and behind the radio/climate control display(closer to the defroster vents). If I tap on the dash in that area I can reproduce the sound and while putting pressure on that area of the dash while driving down bumpy streets that I know causes the rattle, I don't get the rattle. I'm a little afraid to have the dealer attempt a warranty fix by ripping into the dash and potentially causing other rattles.
