Turned out pretty nice!

Not to bad, total cost was about $150.

$129.99 tablet
$17.99 dash kit

plus a 3.5mm cable, micro sd cable, car adapter

Amazing. To echo what others said could you provide some more details about the installation.

I'm a little worried putting anything fancy in my car in fear of attracting auto theft.

This guy figured out what Mazda could not with the 15+ screens that is the only thing I really don't like on the 15 up Mazdas my dad has a 2014 6 that has a screen but it is in the proper spot some of the 15s and all the 16+ all have that ugly looking thing that looks like a tablet glued to the dashboard all models that was a major turn off on me buying a base 2016 3 when I was looking that thing sits right in the way and sticks out, on top of that it was ugly and did not flow with the interior and the base models without the control knob and steering wheel buttons where difficult to navigate the screen while driving. that and the base model was missing some features I like, like aluminum wheels (not steelys with ugly covers on them) and the few we found that I would have been able to afford the payments on at the time (definitely could now, but have a way better job) where the tan interior which I don't like as much as the black or grey and they also only had 1 in manual, and that was a stipulation if I get the weaker engine it has to be a stick I don't want the auto. but the main thing was I could not afford a hatchback and I much prefer hatchbacks if I am going to get a small car, as it allows much more stuff to be put in it, and to me they look better especially the 10-13s so I ended up with an 11 GT hatch (its an auto unfortunately, but the bigger engine) and it has all the features I need and a few I didn't know I would like heated seats and what not (never had a car with as many features as this 11 GT with Tech) so I was used to the stuff in like 96 sentras and thee like where power mirrors and windows where still optional and things like horsepower didn't even come standard.

2016 mazda 6 interior:http://www.cleanmpg.com/photos/data/...-_Interior.jpg

they need to do something like ford did on the focus (less buttons and better style of course but the screen doesn't just jump out as looking hastily attached after they designed the dash : https://i.ytimg.com/vi/bsMnQI5RXgg/maxresdefault.jpg or even the 15 civic, the rest of the dash and car (in my opinion except the si) are boring and ugly but the placement of the screen in this pic is better it is right where the driver can touch it and see it but not sticking out of the dash like they almost forgot it and had to add it afterwards

That looks great. Do you leave the tablet turned on when the car is parked?
