I think it will fit. The fenders and lights are the same. Why wouldn't it fit? I asked before at a dealership and they said it would.

The lights are the same, but the outside edge of the fenders is most certainly not. Look closely and you'll see. I think it's unsafe to say it will fit until someone tries it. My guess is that it wil, but I'm not going to take anyone's word for it. We need proof. Regardless, I think it's silly to put a non-functional scoop on your car. All it's doing is catching air and lowering your drag coefficient.

Car is sold, but I am happy to answer any questions about my 3. -

I have to agree with Derrick on this one. I think Mazda didn't offer it on the 3 for his reason exactly.

Not only that, but without an intercooler sitting up there in that opening, wouldn't it be a good way to get all sorts of water and debris into the engine compartment?

We need a couple of adventurous owners who live close together and can do a test swap, lol. The MS3 owner's car would be out of commission, of course. I'm looking forward to CS's black, front-mount intercooler. Maybe we'll start seeing some MS3 hoods on the market from people who want a stealth look

Car is sold, but I am happy to answer any questions about my 3. -

I was thinking more along the lines of designing some sort of specialized intake system that could take advantage of an forced induction hood. Obviously it would have to lay flat similiar to the intercooler on the MS3.
