Default How long before the battery discharges when not driving the car for a long time.

I will be making a trip out of the country and will be gone for more than a month during the december.. I want to know if I need to disconnect the battery before leaving or is it OK to leave it connected. Will I have any problem starting the car after more than a month of inactivity? Any suggestions would help.

I'd take it off and store it inside.

If you don't want to remove and store it (when you reconnect it you will need to reset the stereo channels, auto up/down window, clock) you could have a friend/relative start it every couple days or once a week, just to keep it in good shape.

To be honest, the reset all your info takes 5 minutes, and there is a chance that 1 month of not being started wouldn't do anything at all!

I've heard good things about the Battery Tender. Have not used it personally. Battery Tender - Home of the Battery Tender Jr. - Batterytender.com
