Install and review of Corksport Rear Sway Bar.

Here is my install and review of the Corksport Rear Sway Bar. First thing is the fit and finish are perfect! Everything during the install went perfect. The middle setting is what is recommended from Corksport, so thats where I set the bar at. The middle setting appears to line up exactly where the stock sway bar end links were. This was the only setting I tried so far and all I can say is, WOW, what a huge difference it makes! My car corners extremely flat and feels connected to the road, no oversteer or understeer. The rear end of the car feels like it is nice and tight. I highly recommend this rsb if you are in the market for improving the way your car handles. Its perfect for your daily driver and ready to take out to the track and rip it up.

Here is a link to Corksports site http://www.corksport.com/corksport-m...e-swaybar.html

Corksports install guide http://support.corksport.com/instruc...-3-070-WEB.pdf

Lets get started...

- 14mm open end wrench
- breaker bar
- 5mm allen wrench
- ramps or jack stands
- 14mm socket and wrench
- grease
- torque wrench

- grease gun (optional)
- loctite (optional)

I backed up my car onto ramps.

Removing the end link bolts, make sure you have a 5mm allen wrench.

The Corksport rsb is 32mm thick and hollow. Its lighter then the stock bar.

Ready to put on the car

Locktite all your bolts

The Sway Bar mounting brackets need to be moved so the sway bar lines up with the end links without putting stress on the links.

All done!

I was expecting to notice a slight difference in the way the car handles, but it was totally night and day. My Mazda 3 now feels like it corners better then my 350Z. It was very easy to install and the well worth the money spent.

Awesome write-up, makes it seem very easy to do now. Now only need to decide if I want the rsb from Corksport or Racing Beat.

That is wayyyyy too much Loctite. Hopefully you don't need to take the bushing off at all, it is not going to be fun. Make sure you have a miniature torch

Other than that, nice write up dunston.

Quick question dunston, did you grease the bushings before or after getting the bar in place? Any pics/tips on greasing that bad boy up without making a total mess?

I only used that much on the actual sway bar brackets, I figure if I need to take them off, my breaker bar is my best friend. I did not use as much on the end links.

I greased the inside of the bushings before I put them on the sway bar. Then before I tightened them down I pumped them up with the grease gun and torqued the brackets down. It did not get too messy, but I don't want them to squeak.

Thanks for the pics and review!

Noodles asked this a couple times in the original Corksport RSB thread, but I never saw an answer. So, what is it?
