Guys,

I would also put on a few coats of clear coat. I just got back from a drive from Toronto to Orange Beach Alabama and back. 20 hours one way, and now my fog bezels have a ton of paint chips and I have clear coat on mine already. The first time I painted the bezels out I didn't do this and the chipped even easier. Just a heads up.

You used black night metallic right? I followed your original post and found out that only a couple coats of clear wasn't enough. I redid my badges with five coats of clear. Their pretty glossy and a darker color black but I've had no problems in over a month. Thanks for the original post I never would have found that color without it.

No problem. After the winter I'll re-paint them and put many more coats of clear. Hopefully this will do the trick!! Looks really good BTW, great job.

Have you guys tried using bumper type paint from an automotive parts store? they typically contain additives that allow the paint to flex more without breaking, this might help with chipping

Ordered some matte black vinyl on ebay to black out the fog light trim. Hopefully it matches the surrounding black well. If not, $5 isn't too bad for having tried.

I think I'm going to try this soon. I'll probably just use Krylon Fusion. I know it's glossy, but I think that might actually look better. If not, sand and try something else

yeah i found out about the screw yesterday too. i had my bumper pulled out while installing my headlights back in. i tried to get to the screw but its at an angle where its really hard to access. almost like you must take off the fog light itself to access it...

strange

maybe i'll just break the clips =X
