I don't know if security tests have the same standards in Europe and in the USA but it's always interesting to compare the 2010 3 to other vehicules.

pretty neat. no sedan. boo...but still cool. those side air bags deployed the second the side was even barely touched...looked cool in slomo. good find

Thanks. Here in Europe sedans represent only 5 to 10 % of the 3 sold. That's why I can't order the car that I want!!! (sedan 1.6l diesel sport, your gt).
I have good relationship with the 2 biggest dealers in my surroundings, the 1st has only sold 3 sedans, the 2nd ... none (out of 70) lol. Certainly why crashtests were made with hatches.

Wow. That's a pretty big difference. I'm glad I have a 2010!

Yep, "amaising" to see the differences. What hurts me most is the side impact on a pilar on the 1st gen. Have you noticed how far it goes into the cab? On the 2010, it doesn't go so far but even with airbags it's like you'd received a Tyson's uppercut in your face.
