Nice, Mazda finally got onboard with the Radio Data System, USB audio and Pandora audio.

x2 on the dual climate control, and push button start. I asked for it when I was shopping for a Skyactiv last month. Now their going to offer it, sheesh.

No problem with the auto dual zone in mine either, I use it on a regular basis.

Pat.

That's true, you can't always please everybody at once.

Dang I'm jealous of those new features. Kind of feel ripped off because the Touring gets things that my iGT w/ tech package doesn't have, like the advanced keyless entry w/ push button start. Sucks being an early adopter of new tech (Skyactiv). I wonder how the new features will affect the pricing?

I mostly want advanced keyless entry haha. The traffic and pandora stuff sounds cool. I wonder if we can install that new headunit or whatever in our cars.

Motherfu---I just purchased my 2012 sport S-GT two weeks ago. My biggest gripes about it are the lack of HD radio and the small nav. Hopefully I got a good enough deal on mine to not care =P

Has anyone found a picture of this new dash layout with larger Nav? Just wondering if they kept the LED and the LCD screens up top or if that's just empty space now and if they moved the info to the NAv screen or if it turned out more like someone stuck an aftermarket Nav system in and it's just for Nav with the other 2 screens up top still. I'm thinking it might be starting to look like Xibit pimped your ride with all the screens on the dash. Yo' dawg, I put screens on yo' screens.

So far no pics yet. But its most likely gunna have the same nav setup as the cx5 since they're both 5.8. And not sure about the LCD screens. Im hopping they do away with that and just incorporate it in the gauges. But whos knows, well see...

I think Mazda should do something like on the new 2013 Nissan Altima for a total redesigned 3 in 2015. Place the screen and nav together.

Personally, too many screens. Any specs in the nav like manufacturer, map supplier or features (voice controll maybe?)?

It would be cool if we could put the new HU in our cars.

A Couple Questions

Thanks for this useful post. I talked to a sales rep at a local dealer the other day and I was told the 2013 models would be available in mid october. Do you think then that he meant that thats when you can place an order for them? I am curious to know because I was going to wait for the 2013 model to make my purchase but if they wont be actually available until Dec or Jan then I dont think I can wait that long....

Also do you know if they will offer a possible upgrade for the navigation on the 2012 models to upgrade to the navigation that will be on the 2013 models ?
Thank you

Ill talk to my boss about when you will be able to place orders. But thatll take longer unless you like what ever comes in on the trucks at ur dealer.
But having an 2013 nav in the 12's i have no clue, my guess is no because they would want you to buy a 13.

eh... what I really want to know.. is what they're going to have for the 2013 ms3's

#46 ·
Other than the technology additions (which are for all Mazda3's)

2013 Mazdaspeed3's will have the following;

18" Gunmetal wheels (same style)
Black mica rear inner roof spoiler
Black mica rear lower valance
Black wheel center caps (like the CX5)
Black mica side mirrors

same Disi engine? no changes?

I know more changes are coming in 2014 for the Mazda 6, a 2.5 Skyactiv. For the speed I think a 2.5 turbo is in the works. I know the new Miata is coming for 2013 with the 1.3 turbo Skyactiv.

Sources: my roommates works for Mazda
Source for MS3: online browsing. I'll ask him if he has heard anything for the MS3.

Thanks for the replies esp steelrain ....I'm going to head to the dealer next Monday or Tuesday and see whats available ,if I can get a deal I can't refuse on a 12 then so be it. If I had my choice of a 12 I'll be going for a 3i GT sky hatch in liquid silver.......

Also this is kinda off topic but thought u might know....Do all the GT models come with the tech package....I am kinda confused because it says the Nav is in the package, but yet on the mazdausa the tech package is shown as an add on option for GTs. Every GT I looked at has nav system so that's what I wanna clarify.....thanks
