For those wondering, the Fumoto F-106 or F-106N fits WITHOUT the ADP-106 extension. Our oil pans are not recessed enough to require the extension. I ordered the 106L, and it fits with the oversized oil filter nicely. One thing though, the ball valve is facing downward instead of upward, that's it.
Also, I have found an oversized oil filter application for our motors. The Fram cross reference for the stock filter is the PH6607, with the following specs (wixfilters.com):
Height: 2.577
Outer Diameter Top: 2.685
Outer Diameter Bottom: Closed
Thread Size: 20X1.5 MM
By-Pass Valve Setting-PSI: 8-11
Anti-Drain Back Valve: Yes
Beta Ratio: 2/20=2/20
Burst Pressure-PSI: 300
Max Flow Rate: 9-11 GPM
Nominal Micron Rating: 21
Gasket Diameters
Number O.D. I.D. Thk.
Attached 2.475 2.173 0.233
Now, here are the numbers for a WIX 51356 (Purolator 14610):
Height: 3.402
Outer Diameter Top: 2.685
Outer Diameter Bottom: Closed
Thread Size: 20X1.5 MM
By-Pass Valve Setting-PSI: 8-11
Anti-Drain Back Valve: Yes
Beta Ratio: 2/20=6/20
Burst Pressure-PSI: 363
Max Flow Rate: 9-11 GPM
Nominal Micron Rating: 21
Gasket Diameters
Number O.D. I.D. Thk.
Attached 2.475 2.173 0.233
As you can see, all the gasket dimensions, filter OD, bypass PSI and flow rate are the same, but the filter is taller by almost an inch. Oversized = slightly more oil capacity & more filter media. Beta ratio is filtration efficiency (not sure how to calculate it). I put the Purolator PureOne PL14610 on my car and it fits fine with the Fumoto. The nipple is partially blocked, but you would just remove the filter before draining the oil.
