Progress on finally getting our Mazda 3. Many remember the title of this thread came about because our car was originally scheduled to leave Japan on March 5th, but got "sidelined for a positive reason, i..e, turns out they were putting in the 290 HP turbo motor in mine as a road test vehicle. Just contacted Mazda Customer Experience today and they said our car was "on water." This jibes with what my Sales Manager said two weeks ago, that it was scheduled to leave Japan on April 1st, ETA to arrive in Tacoma (closest port to me), on April 14th.
Enjoying tracking two vehicle carriers (the only two that left Japan between March 29-April 2nd, and the also are the only two who are scheduled to arrive at Mazda's unloading terminal in the Port of Tacoma on April 14th. Fun to track them, though still off the coast of Japan (I had no idea that country was so "long").
BTW, if anyone has any questions about tracking their car on a ship, either post below or send me a PM. Happy to help.
Jan. 25th ordered Mazda 3 GT hatch; Feb. 3rd allocation awarded; Feb. 8th official options/color confirmed; Feb. 27th assembly completed; March 31st left Japan on transport ship; April 14th arrived at Port of Tacoma; Currently at Port; 1st week of May ETA for dealership arrival.
Below picture thanks and credit to Skagerstrom, for that is his beauty below, the inspiration for what our car will look like.
