I'm having no luck trying to install either video player or cast screen. I'm running v55 on a 2015 m3, no other tweaks except the update to v55 from v33.

Video player: I tried 2.6, 2.7, tried installing from aio. Nothing shows up in the applications menu. The install said it was successful so why isn't it showing up?

Cast screen: I installed with aio as well as the apk, followed all directions debug mode 127.0.0.1 etc. when i press start nothing happens. The phone vibrates once and i see a little screen icon on the phone status bar for about 1 second and then it disappears.

What do?

GPS receiver alive again after firmware upgrade

with one or two months ago, my Mazda GPS navigation freeze
NOT the CMU freeze, only the car position freeze

The GPS receiver is dead

I try to reboot the CMU. no result
get out the NAV SD card. no result
if we not have sd card and start the NAV app normally show LAT/LON/ELEV.
In my case not show coordinates.

yesterday I upgrade my CMU from 56.230 to 59.443C and the GPS receiver came back to live again.
I put my NAVSD back and the whole navigation working fine !

Every system update came with new GPS firmware, and probably reset the receiver.

Upgrading to the very same version probably have the same result

Hello guys I made a scriot to change the boot anymation base on AIO scripts from @Trezdog44 it changes totally the 3 steps of videos IVF look the video I posted I will upload the script here in case anyone wants it, also I tried to upload video or image of how it looks buts eems I have no permission

yes it can be done just be cautious not to reboot your system between failsafe installation and cmu firmware, do all steps failsafe install first and then firmware second and after that reboot.

cool qill downgrade mine as i upgraded to 59.0.0.441A and i want to dowgrade

Afaik a downgrade should be done in reverse. So, first install reinstall and then failsafe.

Just wanna ask, is there any tweak to display FM radio station name? It is annoying to search for desired radio station if we do not know its frequency, bcos everytime the tuner stops at a detected fm fequency, i need to listen to the radio first just to determine which radio station it is.

It seems that this is regionally different. In Germany and other european countries all radio bands (FM, DAB+, ...) delivers the station names with additional information (e.g. artist+title).

In my country (Malaysia) i think radio stations are broadcast with RDS, which even a cheap aftermarket radio with small display can display the station's name. Wondering why it is not available in mazda.

In Peru we have the same problem. It apparently it's not available for mazda. Other brands already have it. We also use RDS.

During my Oil Change and OS update on my leased 16.5 CX5 today. I mentioned considering doing the OS update myself or some possible tweaks I saw on this forum but was scared it might cause warranty issues.
My Mazda Service Manager said they don't care about people doing their own updates and so forth anymore. He said they only worry about physical neglect to the vehicle caused by the customer and not to worry about it, due to some lawsuit won from a customer warranty issue, I didn't go into detail about.
So most likely worse case. If you F*ck something up software wise. You might have to pay for them to reinstall/fix your OS to your infotainment system but wont affect anything else with your actual vehicles warranty.

As this is some information sent by the TAU (Radio Tuner and AMP) to the CMU (Mazda Connect) IF the TAU already doesn't support it, it may not be possible without changing hardware.

Sorry for no answer. Yes, I'm currently adding more changes to the ones already released in the AIO by @Trezdog44. So far, I guess I might be releasing a new version on the videoplayer this weekend. So far I'm testing a new method of obtaining the file names (no errors with single ' and takes only about 1s) new method of randomize the videos as all of this is now an object, also I'm testing the full screen on playback.

All of this controlled by the commander. In the future there will be also video selection by the commander
