US v33 install on EU Mazda 3 (enable Pandora)

Hello.

What do you guys think, will it work?

So i'm from Europe and have latest v33 on MZD, but i don't have Pandora radio in my source menu + i don't have leaving/coming home light function.

I understand, that Pandora is available only in USA - but can be listened in Europe too :grin2:

If i update my MZD with US v33 (which have this functions i would like to have), will my EU MZD system work with US version of software?

I have fully worked Pandora app on my smartphone Android, so i only need it on MZD system to listen Pandora in my stereo car.

Also - do you think after update i will get leaving/coming home light options available in menu?


Are there some instructions how to "update" with v33 software? It is easy? Only download .zip file and extract it on USB? :smile2:

Yes this will enable Pandora however may make radio not work. I've run the US firmware in Australia and our FM radio differs a bit, so I can't listen to most FM radio stations while running the US firmware. Also, the navigation entry screens are little different.

Alternatively someone might be able to tell you how to enable the Pandora menu item while staying on EU but I personally have not investigated this. :)

So you are from Australia and you successfully installed US v33?

Hmm....interesting :)

Yesterday i went to my Mazda garage (service) and with very kind person we connect my car to their diagnostic program on PC.

We looked everything, but we cannot figure out how to activate Pandora in source menu of MZD (there were no possibility).

Maybe i can activate Pandora in another way? With WINSCP and my PC and wifi?

But where to find this possibility...

Also - do you have in your menu with US v33 possibility of leaving/coming home light to set on 30 sec, 60 sec....?
