These look pretty slick and I'm seriously considering getting them. For an extra $10, you get the remote module which folds them in when you lock the car, and folds them out when you unlock the car. Otherwise, they fold in 3 seconds after turning off the ignition, and fold out 3 seconds after turning on the ignition. They come unpainted, but you can have them color match them if you give them you car's paint code and give them another $50.
Also, you can upgrade to the heated lenses for another $10. It's also nice that these come with the OEM style blinker already mounted and wired. Definitely an option to consider for the people who don't have the mirror blinkers that are looking to upgrade.
I know there are alot of people on M3F that have bought the blue tint heated mirrors from The Speedline and are very happy with them. Not too sure of the quality of their more expensive items, though. All I can say for sure is that, from the pictures, you can't tell these are not OEM. I just looked and checked and our mirrors have the same markings on the blinker and the bottom of the mirror. SAE E2 00 on the blinker, and E4 on the mirror housing. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-.../M0165-005.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-.../M0165-003.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-.../M0165-001.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-.../M0165-004.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-.../M0165-002.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-...SC03840-ok.JPG |
These are pretty sweet. I might pick them up for a 2010.5 GS (Canadian model)
Anyone know if the canadian GS models have the connectors for the blinkers? I know they're heated but they dont come with the blinkers stock.
Also, how the heck do you hook up the wiring to make the autofold work?
If anyone ever gets these, please do tell!
