Quick question, do the license plate bulbs go in/lay vertically or horizontally?

horizontally, and if they don't work the first time, turn 'em around!

Got the led bulbs and they look great! Thanks Again!!
But on the envelope there is a postage due of $.20 so I dont know if I owe that to the post office or what lol.
