Question Wheel well lip ding - anybody use lip protectors?

So today my car gets its first ding from some %^!$& dolt.

On the passenger side front wheel well, it should be fixable. However, that makes me want to install some rubber lip protectors to help prevent future dings.

Had some of that on cars many years ago (real common on '80s Hondas), but rarely see it today.

Auto Moldings-Body Side Molding-Auto Trim-Door Edge Guard-Trim-Gard-Trim-Guard has some decent looking options if I can locate a reseller.

Anybody have recommendations before I continue scouring the InterWebs looking for some?

These cars are ding\chip magnets. My car is less than 4 months old and the windshield already has 3 chips in it, the front looks like a car with 100,000 miles on it (I have 6,000). I now know how mazda managed to sell such a loaded car so cheap
