Can't post here from desktop, but can from laptop?

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue. I have a desktop running Windows 7, and I can't seem to post anything on this board. Any time I type out a response and submit, it goes to the screen saying "your reply is too short" (and it shows nothing in the reply box). I typically use FireFox to post with, but have tried it with IE, and Chrome, all to no avail. It's running wirelessly to my router, and I have no problems posting on other forums.

I also have a laptop, running Vista, that I'm posting this from now, and it works with Chrome (strangely NOT with FireFox). No problem posting replies, or anything.

Any ideas?

Sorry, but others havent reported this issue at all. And since you can post from your laptop, it means the issue is with your computer, not the forum.
Check your firewall and anti-virus settings. Something on your end is blocking something.

Well, I can't figure this out. No browser on my desktop at home works, but I can get it to work only on Chrome on my laptop at home.

At work, this is the 3rd computer I've tried to get this to work. I keep getting this message after clicking submit....

Quote:
The following errors occurred with your submission:

1. The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.
Tried it on 3 different computers, and many different browsers here at work. Finally found a room where it works on Chrome, but no other browser.

Any ideas? How can this be a coincidence?

What are you trying to type?

I've noticed before on other forum boards that anything wrapped in BB code (like IMG or quote tags) may not register as characters in a post.

It's ANY kind of reply. Quick Reply, regular reply after clicking "Post Reply" with no quotes or other stuff in it. Or when quoting someone. It always just says the same thing, that I haven't entered anything and to enter something. Completely frustrating.

Still can't get anything other than Google Chrome to work on this forum (from multiple places, work, home and tried it from a friends house).

Strange I'm the only person having trouble with this in multiple locations. :dontknow:
