New MZ3 Skyactiv Owner

Hey All,

New owner here. Traded in my beloved '93 Miata (got married....) and picked up a '12 Mazda3 i touring package with moonroof for a really decent price outside Chicago.

I'll post some photos when I get the chance, but want to keep it mostly stock. I'll add a JBR RSB in the next few weeks, and I want to add the sideskirts that should have come on the car in the first place -- though they're pretty pricey. New tires and shocks will come down the road, though I likely won't lower it. HID kit install as well.

Anyway, I was pretty into the Miata forum, so as people get more into the Skyactiv models, I'll get more active on the forum here.

Well the sideskirts are pre-painted, so that is one reason they cost more. Who'd you end up getting the car from?

Shopped around and wound up driving a bit to Bill Jacobs Mazda in Joliet -- they came in $500 less than any of the other dealerships were able to match.

Hi all. I factory ordered my Mazda 3 Skyactiv. Should be arriving to the States 4th week of March. I am pretty excited. I picked up a 6 speed manual and as "mattmarcus" also want to do the side skirts and the HID kit. any concerns with dealer/body shop installing the skirts in terms of workmanship quality?
