New 2012 Mazda 3 SkyActiv - CWP

Hi all

Just thought I'd introduce myself here. Just picked up a Mazda 3 GS-SKY in CWP. I'll post pics up as soon as I take some.

Very interested in mods for the SkyActiv. I've noticed a performance thread here already so I'll be tuning in on that

Other than that, just wanted to say HI to everyone here!

Hatch for me and manual all the way!

How do you like the car? I love it except that it could use a little more power down low. Mid range power is pretty decent.

same here! and i agree with the power issue but its better than i expected. one thing that bothers me is the lack of lighting in the trunk area. oh and i hate the wheels but those are being changed out soon

haha yeah the wheels are pretty ugly. winter tires are going to be going on these stock rims. Trunk lighting didn't bother me that much though.

I did have another issue though. Front windshield is making these weird cracking noises. I checked if it was the wiper blades but it wasn't. The noise is REALLY annoying. Might have to take it back to the dealer to fix it.

I havent noticed any cracking noises at all thats strange, id take it to service too. Got mine last saturday, same as yours except i went with auto.. the power/torque is low off the line i agree but once it gets past 2nd gear or so its good. I agree with the wheels as well, ugly lol. Getting rockers/side skirts then slapping some 18" enkei rims on it once i save up a bit and wear down the tires i have now.

I like these here, i think the gunmetal will go good on white. Enkei Performance EKM3 Gunmetal Painted
