New Mazda3 owner in 410!

Well I was an owner of an 02 VW Passat for five years but now I am the proud owner of a 2010 Mazda3! It was my sister's car but she is adding to her family with a little one within the next year and the Passat was on its last legs. She bought a new CRV and I've picked up payments on her 3. It's an i Touring with stock alloys, BOSE sound, and sunroof. In the next couple of months I'll be looking to add fog lights, and possibly some OEM Speed3 wheels or the optional alloys that my sister "cheaped" out on! haha. I'm always open to recommendations for modifications! Looking forward to being here as I was an avid user over at VWVortex. I'll post pictures once I detail it over the weekend! My sister gave it to me in a filthy state! Needs a proper clay barring, wax, and serious interior cleaning.

Welcome to the forum and yes pictures please! Id start with modding your suspension first like tires and rims and then Rear Sway Bar night and day differences!

Thanks! I'm already really happy with how nimble the car is already! My Passat had 162,xxx on the clock with original suspension....it handled like an old leather couch. First wheels & tires then sway bar.

Curious on why OEM ms3 would be the choice. Unless your getting them cheap it should be easier to find AM rims that would be lighter. Unless you want to stick with a stock look.

Yeah I like the stock look because #1. I'm really not gonna make this car any faster. I'd feel like a tool with AM wheels and no engine mods unless they're subtle and simple wheels. #2. I feel like I can find them cheaper with minor, minor curb rash. Plus Baltimore has a bunch of good junkyards......gonna start searching soon. A lot of places online have OEM wheels but they are not cheap. Any recommendations are welcome for OEM & AM wheels!

Im assuming you live in Baltimore if so lots of meets around the MD/DC/VA area check out the mid atlantic threads
